We have puppies available from two top show dogs. This was a highly anticipated breeding so we are ecstatic that it has resulted in a large healthy litter. The mother, Breezy, is the grand daughter of our first Best in Show winning female Ria. (#1 herding dog #1 German Shepherd Multi BIS/ Group winning Select excellent GCHG CH Shoal Creek's Sangria V Barick OFA). Ria fell into our laps over a decade ago only because Nancy Harper-Mulvaney of Heinerburg Shepherds made the breeding happen that produced Ria many years ago. We were thrilled to be able to come back full circle to breed to a male that has all of Nancy's top show dogs behind him. Malcolm is a handsome solid male that is a perfect example of the breed standard. It is hard to pick his best feature whether its his temperament and work ability or his all male looks and correct side gait. Breezy is classy and elegant in a powerful muscular package. She is the sweetest girl to live with and has great character to go along with her good looks. Breezy and her progeny are the future of Barick Shepherd's breeding program.

This pairing with Malcolm and Breezy has produced 6 beautiful dark black and tan/red females and 4 dark black and tan/red males. As preservation breeders we only breed when we are looking to keep a puppy for ourselves to move forward with in our breeding program; that is why only two males and 4 females will be available at this time. Companions, performance prospects and show prospects will be available between 8 and 10 weeks after show picks are made. The whole litter will be evaluated at 7 weeks using the Volhard puppy aptitude test to help us place puppies in the best homes.
